Nina Simone는 재즈에만 머물지 않고 소울과 재즈 팝 등

다양한 영역을 넘나들며 레코딩을 했다.

 

그러나 뭐니뭐니 해도 소울풀한 해석력이 그녀의 최고 무기...

Nina는 싱어로서뿐만 아니라 송 라이터이자 피아니스트이고

그리고 사회운동가였다.

 

특유의, 가슴속에서 끌어 올리는 허스키한 소리로

노래하는 가수였다.

독특한 그녀만의 바이브레이션이 있는데

노래를 매끈하게 불러내는 가수들 보다

흑인 특유의 허스키한 목소리가 매력이다,
